What's the difference between marketing, utility and authentication messages?+
Marketing templates promote offers or products and cost the most. Utility templates confirm transactional info like order or appointment updates. Authentication templates deliver OTPs and login codes — both utility and authentication are billed far below marketing rates. Meta enforces these categories at template-approval time — you can't relabel a promo as a utility message to save cost.
Why does the price vary so much by country?+
Meta bills based on the recipient's country, not the sender's — a business in the US messaging a customer in India pays India's rate, not US rates.
